Just under three hours drive from London, West Dorset is steeped in history and has many areas of outstanding natural beauty, including mile upon mile of English Heritage coastline.

Evershot is the quintessential English village, with a church, store, bakery and a magnificent deer park. The centre of the village has remained largely unchanged and was the setting for the period drama 'Emma'. The coast is just a 20 minute drive away.

There are many historic houses and gardens close to Evershot, including Forde Abbey, Sherborne Castle and Athelhampton House. Step back further in geological time with a visit to Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, a 95-mile stretch of heritage coastline.

The pretty seaside town of Lyme Regis, setting for the film 'The French Lieutenant's Woman', is just a short drive away, as is West Bay (Bridehaven in the BBC drama 'Harbour Lights'.
