"We are a family run small collection of five- and four-star hotels who fight the big chains for business. We will never have the same Sales and Marketing spend as these players, so it is my belief that we need to make an even better job of taking care of our guests."
- General Manager
From Somerset, Natalie has grown up in the area. She worked at the prestigious Castle Hotel in Taunton before moving to Winyards Gap as Assistant Manager. Natalie joined the Acorn as Assistant General Manager in the summer of 2010. She has shown such promise that she was chosen to take part in the Red Carnation Hotels Ambassadors in Management course in 2012.
- Assistant General Manager
After joining the Acorn Inn as a General Assistant in 2013, I discovered the RCH way that gives our guests the very best service and experiences. I developed my skills in front of house and in the kitchen and after 3 years of service, I was delighted and honored to be offered the position as Assistant General Manager. I am thrilled and excited to be embarking on this new chapter in my career supporting Natalie and Richard.
- Executive Director - Red Carnation Hotels
Internationally acclaimed hotelier Terry Holmes, winner of the 2006 Caterer Tourism Award, joined Red Carnation Hotels in February 2006, bringing with him his incredible passion for the hospitality industry. His tremendous career ranges from a chef to Vice President in the luxury hotel business.
A much loved character at each of the hotels in the Red Carnation collection, his presence together with his expertise further strengthens our guests' experience.
- General Manager
I started at the Acorn Inn as a General Assistant in 2010, after a year I was promoted to Bar Manager and 5 years on I am delighted to be promoted to General Manager along with my partner Natalie. I have loved working for Red Carnation and in particular, watching the Acorn team grow and flourish over several years. With a brilliant team and a wonderful establishment Natalie and I look forward to leading the team in the coming years.
- Head Chef
I have been Head Chef at The Acorn Inn since March 2015. I have over 20 years' experience in which time I have seen a lot of trends and positive changes to the industry. Nothing inspires me more than being able to use all the local, fresh ingredients to create dishes on a daily basis. Before joining the team at the Acorn Inn I spent six months setting up and opening the Bath Arms in Cheddar. I was also the Head Chef at Clavershay Barn restaurant, a converted barn on a working farm in the Quantocks, for five years, providing fresh farm to fork cuisine.
