The Acorn Inn makes an ideal setting for a number of different functions or events, from a birthday bash to an anniversary dinner or an engagement party to a business meeting.
We have the flexibility to accommodate a wide variety of different occasions – just let us know what you have in mind.
The skittle alley, as the name suggests, is great for playing skittles! However, it can also seat up to 60 guests for a wide variety of different functions. A lovely big room with dark wooden floors, beamed ceiling and striped upholstery, it is perfect for buffets, team building, parties, christenings, wakes and dinner parties. If you would like the use of the skittle alley for a game as well as dining tables it can seat up to 30 people.
The restaurant can seat up to 50 guests in a variety of configurations. Part of the restaurant can be partitioned off with wooden doors to create a private dining area seating up to 24 on two rectangular tables.
The Acorn Inn makes an ideal wedding reception venue. For ceremonies there is the beautiful Evershot Church in the village, or alternatively our sister property Summer Lodge Hotel holds a civil wedding license. We often have guests who enjoy their ceremony and wedding breakfast at Summer Lodge and join us afterwards for the wedding party. We can provide a sit down meal, buffet, canapes or BBQ dependant on your requirements and you can dance the night away to a band or disco in our skittle alley. For this we do ask that all our rooms be booked for your wedding guests.

Whether it's a corporate end-of-year celebration or a festive family get-together, we can make your Christmas party one to remember. We are flexible and can accommodate large parties - exclusive use of the entire property is available for bookings of 50-120 guests who book all ten bedrooms. Enjoy fun times with your friends, family and colleagues in our Skittle Alley, where you can eat, drink and play a few legs of the traditional game.
We can also cater for more intimate affairs in our restaurant where we can reserve a private dining area for your celebration.
